''Bangaranga'' is Bulgaria’s song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026

The rhythmic song was selected by viewers of the Bulgarian National Television and the jury in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest from a total of three songs written especially for the occasion — “This Is Me,” “Curse” and “Bangaranga.”

Both the jury and the viewers were unanimous in their choice, sending “Bangaranga” to Vienna this May, together with DARA, who earned the right to represent Bulgaria after a closely contested performer selection held at the end of January this year.

“Bangaranga’ symbolizes the discovery of the inner strength each of us possesses. Acting with love, not with fear. The title translates as ‘riot’ from Jamaican”, DARA explained on the national television show.

Special guest performers at the Bulgarian final for “Eurovision 2026” were the representatives of Luxembourg and San Marino, Eva Marija and Senhit. In Vienna, DARA will compete in the second semi-final on May 14, and the Grand Final of Eurovision 2026 will take place on May 16.
