CEC commits to full cooperation with the OSCE election observation mission

The Central Election Commission (CEC) conferred with the core team of the election observation mission of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), CEC said in a press release.

Key issues regarding the legal framework of the electoral process, as well as specific challenges for organizing the April 19 elections, were discussed. The Central Election Commission briefed the observers on the steps taken so far and on the ongoing preparations for the elections within its legal authority.

The Central Election Commission will assist the mission on all election-related matters and will maintain constructive dialogue with the observers, the statement said. This is the second meeting between the CEC and OSCE observers.
