Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov visited the Situation Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He thanked the diplomats for the successful evacuation of Bulgarian citizens from the Middle East. 2,600 of our compatriots have been evacuated from the conflict region to date, which places the country in one of the leading places in the world in terms of people evacuated.

“We have 2,600 reasons to be proud of you. The gratitude of the people is the most important indicator. Bulgarian citizens should know that they can rely on the state,” Gyurov added. Caretaker Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynski noted that often foreign policy is distant to people, but in this situation Bulgarians felt that they could rely on the state in a difficult moment.
