Turkey, China, Kazakhstan and Brazil are Bulgaria's top non-EU importers

According to data released on Tuesday by the National Statistical Institute (NSI), Bulgaria's non-EU imports rose 12.7% year-on-year in January-March to 6.2478 billion euros ($7.0 billion), with the largest share coming from Turkey, China, Kazakhstan and Brazil.
Meanwhile, Bulgaria's exports to non-EU countries fell 3.4% year-on-year in the first three months of 2026 to 3.6088 billion euros.
The NSI said Bulgaria's main trading partners outside the European Union were Turkey, Serbia, the United Kingdom, the United States, China, North Macedonia and Ukraine, accounting for 49.5% of exports to third countries.
